About the place

My name is Johan, 31 years old. I have been living in my current rental home in Westmaas for six months.

Due to sufficient (unnecessary) space available and because my current housemate has found independent living accommodation, I am looking for a new housemate, available again from June 1st (this is flexible in consultation).

It concerns a rental home on the 1st floor of an apartment complex. The total surface area is 80 m2 + indoor balcony and shed.

I received the home in August in a bare state and have furnished and upholstered it myself. This process is 90% complete, just a few small things left. Otherwise, the home is basically finished.

I have two bedrooms, one of which I wish to rent out. The room is about 10 m2 in size, with freshly laid laminate flooring, white wallpaper, and a roller blind. In consultation, this could be repainted in the desired color(s).

It concerns a rental home owned by a housing corporation. I have inquired and a housemate is allowed. However, you will not become a formal tenant. We can, however, draw up and sign something ourselves so that you have some security.

The requested rent is € 650 per month.

This includes internet, heating (gas-free home), water, and electricity. You may also use the furniture in the shared spaces.

The home is located in Westmaas, in the Hoeksche Waard. This is approximately a 20-minute drive from Rotterdam. There is public transport (bus stop) nearby, but having a car is a significant advantage. There are two electric charging stations available around the corner that are not used much. There is also ample (free) parking nearby.

I am preferably looking for someone in a similar life situation to myself: working full-time, still youthful and enjoying life, yet somewhat mature and reserved. Likes socializing but also appreciates peace and cleanliness. Gender does not matter beforehand, as long as there is a connection. I think it would be most convenient if you came by first, so we can get a feel for each other and you for the property.

I would suggest a six-month trial period initially, and if that goes well, extend it indefinitely.
