Important: You must be a student when signing the contract. You may become employed during the term of the contract. This includes, for example, PhD students or part-time students. 

Hello! From ~15 April, I am looking for a new flatmate in a spacious and bright flat on Toermalijnlaan in Utrecht (85 m² in total). You will have two rooms of 8.5 and 6.5 m². The flat also has an (almost) fully furnished and renovated living room of 25 m², a renovated bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a nice balcony. The location of the flat is ideal! It is only a 5-minute walk to Smaragdplein (Lidl!) and you can cycle to the centre of Utrecht in 10 minutes. The flat also has a private parking space and a private basement. The total rent is approximately €875 per month, including utilities. The final costs depend on actual consumption of gas, electricity, water, etc. 

You will be sharing the flat with me, Merel (26 years old). I am a researcher in the field of brain and behavioural development in babies and young children. I have been living in this flat for over seven years and still thoroughly enjoy this lovely place. I like to “garden” on the lovely balcony and as soon as the sun shines, you can definitely find me there! I also really enjoy cooking and baking. You won't just be living with me, but also with Mila the cat! She is 2 years old, loves to cuddle and can sometimes be a bit of a drama queen/rascal 😅. It is important to me that you feel comfortable with a cat in the house and are happy to help look after her and take her into account. 

I am looking for a nice housemate who is tidy and easy-going. Someone who takes responsibility for the household and communicates openly. You also enjoy eating together or having a cosy film (+ wine) evening every now and then, but there is also room for both of us to have our own time. In addition, you have lived on your own before and are registered as a (part-time/PhD) student at the start of the contract. 

The viewing evening will take place in the 2nd or 3rd week of March.
