About the place

Two rooms will soon become available in our home. The listed rent is per room.

The rooms are next to each other and share a spacious bathroom with a bathtub, as well as a very large shared living room and kitchen. These open onto a beautiful veranda overlooking the surrounding meadows.

It is also possible for a duo (such as friends or a couple) to rent both rooms together.

We live in the countryside, and we're not looking for people who THINK country living might be nice—we're looking for people who KNOW they enjoy it! Spending time outdoors, gardening, heating up the wood-fired sauna, and embracing rural life are all part of the experience.

The city of Groningen is only a 15-minute drive away. The nearest bus stop is a 10-minute bike ride from the house, and the bus takes about 20 minutes to reach Groningen city centre.

The property is a traditional farmhouse that we have converted into three separate homes, one of which is our own. Each home is fully self-contained. One of the homes is now becoming partially available (one room is already occupied).

Registration at the address is possible. However, the rooms are rented under the Dutch hospita (live-in landlord) arrangement, which means housing allowance (huurtoeslag) and similar benefits are not available at this address.

We prefer tenants who are looking for more than just a place to live—people who appreciate the outdoors and enjoy having both their own privacy and, from time to time, getting together for DIY projects, gardening, or even hosting a living room concert.

If we turn out to be a great match, staying here for the long term is certainly an option.
