Houtlaan
About the place
Hi all, I am Deimos. I truly believe that co-sharing a space and living together can be a nice, fun thing, but good premises are necessary to avoid wasting my and your time and to potentially find a good match. REQUISITES: - Not ok with queeer people? Please skip this advertisement. - Being a guy, about 30-35, working and with stable permanency in the Netherlands. - Tidy and clean: First essential key for a nice co-living. Shared spaces must be kept in order, tidy and clean at all times. Beside the weekly or biweekly 'deeper cleaning', it is an every-day job to take care of our surroundings. Dishes in the sink, stuff randomly left around, dirt on the floor are part of the student life, to be buried in the past. - Respectful: I love a house full of music, joy, also with guests coming. At the same time, you must be sensible enough to understand what is the etiquette for respectful co-living. Meaning: night is made for sleeping (or at least assuring the other person can sleep, so not bothering with noise), if getting in/out late being discreet and quiet, not slamming doors, not inviting people over every day of the week.... So, making sure that life is always pleasant for the other people around you. - If there are issues, freely speaking up is the mature way of solving things. Unthinkable to live together if communication is poor. - Sociable and willing of sharing: If introvert and willing of just living in your bubble, this is not for you. The independence between flatmates is essential, but if we click, spending time together, walking, and especially cooking and eating together are enormous plus. - Be interesting. Have hobbies, passions, be someone that beside the worker's face has something to share. An interesting person to talk to. Musician, dancer, good cook? Lovely. WHAT YOU WOULD GET: - A super modern apartment in the tallest building of the Netherland, the Zalmhaventoren. Completely new (2022), facing South, with a beautiful view on the Maas, lots of light, heating, cooling, windows, kitchen working properly... - A sunny 12 square meter room for yourself (the one with mountain photos and big closet). Some pieces of furniture might be bought from the previous owner upon agreement with him. - Spacious living room integrated with the kitchen. Toilet separated from a big bathroom. A cellar (perfect for bikes) ... and don't forget... an amazing balcony. - It would be an official contract (incl. registration) - Moving in would be from the 14th of May. Rent would be paid from that day. ABOUT ME: I am 33, moved from Italy to the Netherland a few years ago in search of an international environment. My studies and job say I am an engineer (offshore sector), but I think I see myself more as a humanistic person. My piano studies at conservatory, my keyboard here in Rdam, love for dance (modern and salsa) and in general love for history, literature and art bring me more on this other side. I love languages and would not mind having an expat flatmate to use my Portuguese, Spanish, German, French ... or a dutchie to finally fix my Dutch. I am quite an extrovert, energetic, enthusiastic person and usually looking to connect with people. My week is quite busy with dance classes, meeting people, doing some sports. ABOUT YOU: Intrigued by what you read above? Now it's time for me to get to know you. Please: - Tell me something about you. Who you are, what you do for a living .... - What are your hobbies, passions, personal characteristics? - What is your usual daily routine and schedule during a working day? - How does your typical weekend day look like? If I cannot get an idea of who you are and how our relationship could be, I doubt that meeting would make a lot of sense.
