About the place

A spacious room of approximately 20 m² is becoming available in our house at Balkenstraat, Rotterdam. We are looking for a female student or young professional who enjoys living in an international shared house and values a friendly, respectful atmosphere.

The House
The house offers plenty of space and excellent shared facilities.
Private room: approximately 20 m².
Living room: a spacious 25 m² communal living area with a TV.
Kitchen: a large 22 m² kitchen with a cooking island, induction hob, extractor hood, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and plenty of storage space.
Bathrooms: three bathrooms, each with a shower, washbasin and toilet. Two also have a bathtub and washing machine.

Bathroom sharing: the bathroom associated with this room is shared with just one other resident.

Outdoor space: a private communal garden, a rooftop terrace and access to a shared courtyard garden for the residents of the apartment block.

Internet: unrestrickted and available in the house.

An International Shared House
This is a shared home, not simply a place to sleep. You will live with four other residents from Italy, Greece, Switzerland and Ireland.

Because the house is home to people from different countries, a good command of English is essential. English is the common language that allows everyone to communicate comfortably and take part in everyday life in the house.

We value mutual respect, consideration for others and keeping the shared spaces clean and pleasant. We are looking for someone who is independent but also enjoys living alongside other people.

To maintain the current gender balance within the household, we are specifically looking for a female housemate.

Rental Conditions

The property is rented under the Dutch Vacancy Act (Leegstandwet), meaning the tenancy is officially temporary rather than a standard permanent rental arrangement. The applicable rental conditions and contract duration will be explained before an agreement is signed.
