The room
From July 1st  a unique and fully renovated room becomes available in our monumental townhouse in Nijmegen East: the Amber Room.
•	Size: 23 m²
•	Located on the 2nd floor, on the cooler west side
•	View of the garden
•	Private washbasin
•	Intercom, internet and TV connection
The room is painted in a historic amber colour (circa 1900) and cannot be repainted. It features a warm and characterful interior with original details, including:
•	Original wooden fireplace (1896)
•	Fireplace mirror from the 1930s
•	Antique œil de bœuf wall mirror
•	Preserved attic atmosphere
There is ample space to create a separate sleeping area. The room is equipped with several individually dimmable ceiling spotlights, allowing you to set the atmosphere to your liking.
The house
You will share the house with 4 male housemates, students and young professionals.
•	Shared kitchen
•	Bathroom and separate toilet (recently renovated)
•	Spacious balcony connected to the kitchen, set up as a living terrace with: 
o	two seating areas
o	electric outdoor BBQ
o	ambient outdoor lighting
o	herb planter and birch tree
Shared facilities also include a washing machine, fridge, freezer, microwave and oven.
Atmosphere & household
The house is quiet, tidy and well maintained, with a clear cleaning schedule that everyone follows.
We mostly live our own lives, but when we meet in the kitchen we often chat a bit, have tea together or occasionally eat together.
Who are we looking for?
Our preference is for a male or female housemate (22–24 years old) who:
• is already somewhat advanced in their studies or working
• is calm, tidy, and reliable
• does not smoke
• has no pets
• feels at home with a historic interior

Note on the duty of care for heritage
