About the place

Starting in September, I am looking for a female housemate to share my home for an indefinite period.

The size of the house is 106 square meters. We would share the living/dining room, kitchen, bathroom with shower, a second toilet downstairs, and the garden (a very beautiful and cozy garden, I think :-)). The kitchen is well-equipped with a dishwasher, freezer, microwave, air fryer, blender, and much more. There is a washing machine and dryer. The garden has a lounge area that is perfect for chilling, and there is also a table with chairs and a BBQ. The garden faces south, so it gets sunny all day long! There is a shed for storing bicycles. The room I am renting is 15 square meters and is located in the attic. My bedroom is on the first floor. The price for the room is €550 per month, including everything such as electricity, gas, water, municipal taxes, and internet. The house is located in Malvert in a quiet neighborhood. It is a 15-minute bike ride to the university and about 25 minutes to the city center. There is a bus stop nearby. It is a 9-minute bike ride to Nijmegen-Dukenburg train station and the shopping center. There is a Jumbo supermarket 400 meters away, and a Lidl and AH are 450 meters away. If you have a car, there are plenty of free parking spaces directly in front of the house.

A little about myself: I am German and I am 47 years old. I speak Dutch, German, and English. I studied psychology in Nijmegen and have been working in the Netherlands for 19 years now. I work full-time as a healthcare psychologist. I recently started working online and plan to work from abroad for a few days or weeks occasionally. In that case, I would like to ask you to take care of the cats, the house, and the garden.

I enjoy going to concerts and traveling. I like meeting friends and going out, going to the movies, or walking or cycling. I like being active and regularly go to the University Sports Centre to work out. But I also love quiet evenings on the couch with a book or Netflix. People often tell me that I am enthusiastic and have a lot of energy. I am an open and social person and enjoy meeting people.

I am looking for a female housemate who is at least 24 years old. It doesn't matter to me if you are a student, PhD, or working. I would like to find someone who enjoys doing things together occasionally, such as eating together, watching a movie, or going for a walk, but who is also fine with us doing our own thing. I also think it is important that we have a somewhat similar rhythm, so no people who always go to bed very late or in the early hours. I do like going out occasionally, but not every weekend, so a party animal is less of a match for me. Oh, and you should like cats, because you would be living with three of them: Loui, 16 years old, and Richie and Duncan, both 5 years old. They bring a lot of life to the house!😸
