About the place

In a well maintained house in Kampen, a furnished room is available on the first floor. This is an ideal temporary living solution for someone who is just starting their studies, doing an internship, or in between two places to live. You do not need to be a student.

The house is located in a quiet and friendly neighborhood, about a 15 minute walk or 5 minute bike ride from Kampen station. Amsterdam can be reached by train in approximately 1.5 hours. The area is safe and family friendly.

What is offered
– One furnished room
– Use of almost the entire house (kitchen, bathroom, living room, etc.)
– Shared refrigerator
– Small outdoor space behind the house
– Washing machine and dryer available
– Cleaning every two weeks by a cleaner, including the rooms (currently temporarily looking for a new cleaner)
– Friendly atmosphere and help with practical matters if desired
– Suitable for one person only (no couples)
– Temporary rental period of approximately 6 months, possibly extendable in consultation (shorter stays are also possible)
– You will share the house with the owner (no separate rental unit)
– Not a party house: the home is focused on peace, cleanliness, and mutual respect
– Smoking and alcohol are not allowed inside the house
– The owner works outside the home during the day and is often away
– Contract based on mutual flexibility
– Registration (for example for student financing) is possible in consultation

Please note: if you are an international student, keep in mind that train travel costs may be relatively high. Take this into account in your budget.

Owner’s motivation
The room is intentionally not offered as a standard rental. The aim is to find a calm and social housemate who enjoys living in a shared household. Having an occasional chat or sharing a meal is nice, but nothing is required. The main goal is to find someone who fits well with the atmosphere and brings a positive presence into the home.

You will share the house with the owner and another student.
