About the place

A furnished room is available on the first floor of a well kept house in Kampen. It is an ideal temporary housing solution for someone who is starting their studies, doing an internship, or in between two living situations.

The house is located in a quiet and friendly neighbourhood, about a 15 minute walk (or 5 minute bike ride) from Kampen train station. Amsterdam can be reached by train in approximately 1.5 hours. The area is safe and family friendly.

What is offered
– One furnished private room
– Access to almost the entire house (kitchen, bathroom, living room, etc.)
– Shared fridge
– Small outdoor space behind the house
– Washing machine and dryer available
– Professional cleaning every two weeks, including the rooms (currently looking for a new cleaner)
– Friendly atmosphere and practical help if desired
– Suitable for one person only (no couples)
– Temporary rental period of around 6 months, extendable by mutual agreement (shorter stays are also possible)
– You share the house with the owner (not a separate rental property)
– Not a party house: the home is focused on calm, cleanliness, and mutual respect
– Smoking and alcohol are not allowed inside the house
– The owner works outside the home during the day and is often away
– Contract based on mutual flexibility
– Registration (for example for student finance) is possible by mutual agreement

Please note: if you are an international student, keep in mind that train travel costs can be high. Please include this in your planning.

Owner’s motivation
This room is intentionally not offered as a standard rental. The owner is looking for a calm and social housemate who enjoys living in a shared household. A chat or an occasional shared meal is welcome, but nothing is required. Mainly someone who fits the atmosphere and brings a pleasant sense of life into the home.

You will share the house with the owner and another student.
