About the place

A quiet, fully furnished studio located in the woods, adjoining a home shared with the owner. The house is surrounded by greenery and nature, with a large garden directly bordering the forest in a protected nature area with plenty of wildlife (birds, squirrels, badgers, martens and deer).

I live here with my two children (8 and 6). The house has a calm and respectful atmosphere and is therefore best suited to a working student, visiting researcher, creative professional, or someone temporarily working in the region who enjoys nature and a peaceful environment.

The quiet location and green surroundings are particularly well suited to researchers, creatives and professionals who appreciate a peaceful and inspiring place to stay.

The studio is fully furnished and has its own entrance, bathroom and spacious living/sleeping area, providing a high degree of privacy. There is a small kitchenette in the adjoining office for coffee, tea, light meals and washing up. The kitchenette is available in the evenings and outside regular office hours; the office itself is not part of the rented or shared space.

The studio is offered for temporary stays, for example a few months, rather than long-term rental. It can also be a comfortable base while looking for a more permanent place to live in the area.

I rent out the studio this way because I enjoy meeting interesting people and occasionally having someone stay here temporarily, rather than renting it through platforms.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable living independently and respects a quiet living environment.

Location & transport

The house is just outside Hilversum:

* ~6 minutes by bike to the nearest train station
* ~12 minutes by train to Utrecht
* ~30 minutes by train to Amsterdam

The location is best suited to someone who is comfortable cycling or has a car.
