For the first time ever, the former Simplon Hostel is opening its doors as a fully furnished residence for one semester(!) right in the heart of Groningen. It’s the perfect spot for exchange students who want to live comfortably, meet people from all over the world, and create unforgettable memories while building a new social circle.

This place is made for an unforgettable semester! Thanks to its central location, you can easily walk to the city centre and catch quick connections to campus. Wi-Fi is included, your room comes fully furnished with a desk, and even bed linen and towels are ready for you. On top of that, you’ll feel the strong community vibe with a shared kitchen, a cozy common living area, and a courtyard to hang out in. And yes—there’s plenty of space to safely store your bike too.

The large common living area is the heart of the building — the place where friendships start. It’s where you cook together, study together, share the best meals from your country and meet new people. Together with the shared kitchen and courtyard, it creates a warm, lively home base for your semester in Groningen.

Your room has everything you need: a desk and chair for studying, a cupboard for your personal belongings, Wi-Fi for streaming your favorit series, heating to stay cozy, and a comfy bed with bed linen and towels included. You’ll share 11 showers and 11 toilets (so no long waits!) and one big shared kitchen. Outside your room, there’s lots of space to enjoy — a 160 m² common living area, a 200 m² courtyard, and a 75 m² bike parking area for your Dutch ride.
