About the place

Due to a study abroad opportunity, a room will temporarily become available in Huize Lekkerbekjes starting from August 2026! We are a friendly student house that enjoys doing activities together, while also understanding when you want to focus on studying or relax in your room for a bit. We live with 14 people in total and study at the University of Twente or Saxion University of Applied Sciences. In general, we are very active within student life. We are a mixed house with 6 girls (one of whom is going abroad) and 8 boys, and our hobbies range from sports to art and everything in between!

The house is located on the campus of the University of Twente, with sports facilities, bus stops, and university buildings all within walking distance (or at most a 5-minute bike ride), and several supermarkets about 10 minutes away by bike.

The 14 m² bedroom is located upstairs and can be locked. It is a furnished room including lighting, a bed with mattress (140x200 cm), wardrobe, mirror, shelving unit, desk + chair, and curtains. In total, you will share 2 toilets, a bathroom with 2 showers and 3 sinks, a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer, a living room and kitchen including a dishwasher, a balcony, and bicycle storage with your 13 housemates.

To keep everything clean, we have a cleaning schedule where you spend about half an hour cleaning once every two weeks. In addition, you have the option to eat together with your housemates if you’d like, which is a lot of fun and means you only have to cook every now and then.
