About the place
🏡 Room for rent possibly from July 1st 2026 (with possible delay in moving date to Aug–Sep, TBD) | The Hague – Bomenbuurt (1 female housemate) Women only (age 18-27). English speaking/internationals are very welcome 🌸 Room available for rent for an indefinite period on the third floor of a house in the green Bomen- en Bloemenbuurt district, The Hague. The room is around 13 square metres. The rent is €475 per month, including all utilities (no extra costs for wifi, gas, water or electricity). The final rent will be confirmed with the landlord. The room has plenty of natural daylight, its own sink with running water, heating with a personal control panel, a lock on the door, and an intercom to let in visitors. There is a fire escape next to the window that feels like your own semi balcony. The room has large windows making it feel light and open, and curtains are already provided. The shared facilities include: a separate shower and sink (bathroom), a separate toilet with sink, and a separate kitchen. The kitchen, bathroom and toilet are shared only with me (22 year old woman), so you will have just 1 housemate. There is also a self-contained apartment on our floor where a young woman lives, but we only share the washing machine and dryer with her. Your rental contract will possibly start on July 1, 2026, but this may be slightly later, to be discussed and determined in consultation with the landlord. When my current housemate moves out, you may have the option to take over some of her furniture (bed, desk, etc.), of course subject to discussion. 👩🏽🦱 About me: I’m Liz, 22 years old, currently in my second year of the bachelor’s programme International Public Policy & Leadership (public administration/governance) at The Hague University of Applied Sciences (THUAS). I enjoy engaging with social and societal topics, cultural diversity, exploring new restaurants, travelling, sports and meeting new people. I prioritise a clean, calm and organised living space. I would love to have a fellow student or international student as a housemate, but it’s not a requirement. I’m open to responses from women between the ages of 18 and 27. 🏡 About the house: This is a quiet house and is officially not student housing, but a private rental property. On the other floors live young adults who work or are finishing their studies. This creates a pleasant, relaxed environment. The floor you would be living on does not have a shared living room. It’s nice to spend time with each other when it suits both of us, but there’s no obligation at all. The house is located near a tram stop served by trams 3 and 34, just a 1-minute walk away, and bus 21 also stops nearby. The lively Fahrenheitstraat with shops such as Albert Heijn, Plus, Kruidvat and Hema is also within a few minutes walking distance. 📩 Interested? Feel free to send me your motivation letter or a short message! Please include: - A little about yourself – who are you? - What you do in daily life (studies, work, hobbies, interests, ambitions, free time) - Where you are from - Why you would like to live here - Why you would be a good match as my housemate I look forward to hearing from you! 😊 Questions are always welcome. I may not be able to respond to every message, due to the expected high number of interested applicants. Viewings will likely be scheduled in May, and this can be arranged very flexibly, in consultation with me and my current housemate.
