About the place

Hi! I'm Roelof, 28 years old, social and quite extroverted. In my free time, I'm very passionate about music, play in a band, enjoy going to festivals, love cooking, and like spending time with friends, whether that's playing board games, having a drink, or just hanging out. My cat Mila also lives here, so you automatically get a furry roommate as part of the deal. :)
I live alone in my own house, and I've realized that I simply enjoy sharing a home with someone more than living by myself. Because of that, I'm not really looking for a traditional tenant, but rather for someone who would be pleasant and fun to live with. That doesn't mean we have to spend every evening together on the couch. I have my own life and expect you to have yours as well. But I do enjoy things like cooking or eating together, having a drink, watching a movie, playing a game, or spontaneously going somewhere. Feel free to invite your own friends over too. I like it when a house feels lively and lived in.
As for who I'm looking for, I'd ideally like to share the house with someone between roughly 24 and 36 years old. Gender doesn't matter. Preferably someone who is working, but what matters most to me is that you're financially independent and that we get along well. I'm quite open-minded, easy-going, and flexible myself, so I'm looking for someone who feels comfortable in that kind of environment.
The room is mainly intended for someone looking for a pleasant place to stay temporarily, for example because of a move, a new job, a breakup, returning from abroad, or simply being in between places. The rental period is therefore flexible. I would, however, like to start with a trial period of around three months. If it works well for both of us, we can discuss extending it afterward.
One important thing to know: while you're technically renting a room, you're welcome to use the entire house. The living room, kitchen, and all other shared spaces are meant to be enjoyed as part of everyday life. The house is already fully furnished, so unfortunately there isn't enough space to bring a complete set of your own furniture.
Mila does not work so well with other pets, so unfortunately other pets aren't possible.
In short, I'm mainly looking for someone who is temporarily looking for a place to call home and who, like me, enjoys not just living alongside each other but creating a friendly and comfortable household together, without any obligations or expectations attached.
