Description: Hi there! A 10 m2 furnished room is becoming available in my lovely 68 m2 apartment located in the heart of the vibrant Oud-West neighborhood. I am the main tenant and am looking for a tidy, independent, responsible, open-minded, and fun female working professional (ideally 30+ years old) to share this comfortable home with.

About the Room & Apartment:

The Room: 10 m2, furnished with a large wardrobe and a comfortable bed (owned by the departing flatmate, who is willing to sell it at a reasonable price). It features its own private balcony facing a quiet, peaceful inner courtyard.

The Apartment: Fully furnished throughout, boasting an incredible main view overlooking a beautiful Amsterdam canal where we get the warm afternoon sun.

Shared Spaces: Full access to the living area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a clean bathroom featuring a washer/dryer.

Location: Unbeatable location in Oud-West! A short walk from the food and cultural hub at De Hallen, surrounded by fantastic local cafes, restaurants, and grocery stores, with excellent tram connections right around the corner.

Living Environment & Lifestyle Compatibility: This is a peaceful, clean, and organized home. I value my downtime and respect personal space, but I am also down for a friendly chat over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine once in a while.

To give you an idea of my routine: I primarily work from home, keep things tidy, go to the gym daily, and am out with friends multiple nights a week. I very rarely have guests over and prefer a quiet environment with no visitors, so I am looking for a roommate who has a similar approach to guests.

My schedule is quite consistent: I usually retire to my room in the early evening, am asleep by 23:00, and wake up around 08:00. Since I work from home, I am ideally looking for someone who goes into the office, maintains an independent schedule, and shares a similar daily sleep cycle.

House Rules & Cleaning: We don't have a cleaning service, so keeping the home clean is up to us. We currently use a weekly alternating cleaning schedule to keep the common areas tidy and comfortable, which works really well, and I am looking to keep this routine going.

Preferences:

Demographics: Working female professional, 30+. Single occupants only.

Pets & Guests: No pets. If you are in a relationship, your partner is welcome to visit occasionally, but the room is strictly for one person and guests should be kept to a minimal standard.

Financials & Logistics:

Available From: 1 November (9 months min with possibility to extend if you are the right fit) 

Monthly Rent: €1,300 basic rent

Utilities: Approx. €130/month (covers gas, water, electricity, and internet) + shared yearly municipal garbage and water tax

Deposit: 2 months' rent

Registration: Municipal registration (BRP) is available and possible
