A cozy 9 sqm bedroom is available in a beautifully spacious, fully furnished, recently renovated two-bedroom apartment in the heart of Prinseneiland, one of Amsterdam’s most charming and quiet residential areas. The apartment is in a monumental building on the 2nd floor, with large windows, plenty of natural light, a French balcony, and a big bathroom with both a tub and a shower. It truly has everything you might need. 

The highlight of the flat is the large shared living room. Because the living room is the heart of the apartment, this home is best suited for someone who enjoys some social interaction and isn’t looking to just keep to themselves in their room. The apartment consists of two bedrooms, one large bathroom, separate toilet and a fully equipped kitchen. 

You’ll be sharing the apartment with me, Ester (23). I’m studying at UVA and working part-time. My academic focus is on women’s health and contraceptive methods, and I work with data science in my studies. I’m a florist, so expect the apartment to not only have regular beautiful flower arrangements but also to be turned into a flower studio every other weekend. I’m a vegetarian and enjoy cooking at home. In my free time, I do yoga, play tennis, ride horses, enjoy specialty coffee, sourdough bread, high quality organic food, and a good cup of tea! I love dogs and occasionally dogsit, so there is a chance a dog will stay for a night once a month. 

I care a lot about keeping the house harmonious and clean - a proper home. I’m looking for someone who wants to share the space with me, not simply occupy a room. Someone who feels comfortable chatting over tea, cooking together occasionally, going for a walk or grabbing coffee, and who genuinely enjoys shared living rather than immediately disappearing into their room. After all, time at home is precious, and I want to enjoy the little time I have here.

No parties, smoking, or couples.

Income requirement: must meet (or have a guarantor who meets) the landlord’s €65K annual income requirement!! 

Please, consider the rent and 1 year commitment. There is no room for compromise, unfortunately.
