About the place

A peaceful place to study from home, with room to relax, chat with housemates, and perhaps pick up some cooking tips from one another in the evening—the ideal environment for (master’s) students or PhD candidates aged 23–29 who enjoy a sociable living situation.
We are looking for a new housemate to fill a room that is becoming available in our home in Amsterdam.
The room comes equipped with its own sink, a bed, a desk, carpeting, and curtains. Further furnishing can be arranged upon discussion.
Our home features two bathrooms, three toilets, and a kitchen/living area complete with two sofas, a TV, and a dining table. There is also a large, sun-drenched balcony (perfect for summer), a shed for your bicycle, a printer, and a washing machine.
You will be sharing the house with six other housemates—all in their mid-twenties—who are either working or studying. While everyone generally leads their own independent life—we don’t have a set routine for eating together, and it’s rare for all of us to be in the kitchen at the same time—we do enjoy the occasional chat or a meal together, especially now that some of us work from home.
As for the neighborhood, we are located near Vondelpark, and you can reach the city center in no time by bike. There are excellent public transport links, including several tram lines (17, 1, and 2) and the train (Lelylaan station is within walking distance). You’ll also find supermarkets (Albert Heijn and Dirk) and various food spots just a short walk away.
If you’re interested, please let us know so we can arrange a time for you to meet the housemates. You are welcome to visit in person, but if you prefer, we can also show you the room and the house—and introduce ourselves—via Skype or Zoom. If you have any further questions following our message, please do let us know.
Best regards,
Beata, Chiedza, Ilias, Giovanni, and Ella.
