Available immediately for 1 person as a co-tenant in Amsterdam, district Rivierenbuurt.

You will receive 1 living-sleeping room of 16 m² with a sink for washing dishes and a gas stovetop for preparing meals.
Other appliances such as a refrigerator and microwave are allowed.

Furniture is optional and provided free of charge on loan.
Cleaning and maintenance of the inventory are the tenants’ responsibility.

You will agree with your co-tenant(s) on the share of the housing costs you will pay.
This will amount to approximately €1.000,00 including all additional costs such as energy, water, internet, cleaning, and local tenant taxes.

You will become a co-tenant, not a room renter.

•	You are NOT renting a non-self-contained room with shared sanitary facilities.
•	You are NOT renting a self-contained unit (a room with its own toilet, shower/bathroom, and kitchen-area to cook meals).

This 16 m² room is part of the apartment, which has 5 living-sleeping rooms, 4 bathrooms, and 1 kitchen area.
On the 1st floor: 3 living-sleeping rooms + 3 bathrooms + the shared kitchen area.
On the 3rd floor: 1 living-sleeping room with kitchenette + 1 bedroom + 1 bathroom + 2 rooms currently out of use + 1 roof terrace.
The 2 rooms that are out of use are planned to be renovated into a living room and a bedroom + bathroom with shower and toilet.

The current co-tenant who uses the bedroom on the 3rd floor is a young woman who speaks English and Greek and limited Dutch. She has lived here since 2018.

Candidates who meet the criteria will have an introductory meeting with her.
She carries out the pre-selection and introduces to the owner the candidates she finds suitable to share the bathroom on the 3rd floor and the additional facilities on the 1st floor.
The co-tenant on the 1st floor must also give approval, as you may use the sanitary facilities and appliances on the 1st floor if those on the 3rd floor are occupied (in use).

Residents are never allowed to have appliances in the 3 rooms on the 1st floor that can heat or prepare meals. This is strictly prohibited by law.
The Municipality of Amsterdam can impose a fine of €15.000,00 to €50.000,00 if cooking is possible in the 3 rooms on the 1st floor.

In your living-sleeping room, you have the comfort of an extra sink for washing dishes, and you may use cooking appliances.
This is allowed because there is only 1 bathroom on the 3rd floor and a maximum of 2 co-tenants live there.

You will make agreements with the co-tenant about periodic (weekly) cleaning of the bathroom and the gas and electricity supply contract.

You must clean your own room at least once per week. 

You do not smoke or vape.

Your room has a lock for privacy, but the co-tenants have a contractual right and obligation to enter all rooms in the apartment for inspection.

This is not room rental.
