About the place

For rent: a neat room of approximately 11 m² in a modern and new apartment in Amsterdam Zuidoost. The apartment has a total size of around 110 m², of which more than 20 m² is a large terrace.

The apartment is located high up in the building, giving you a nice open view from both the apartment and the terrace. You will only be sharing the apartment with me, so although the bedroom itself is around 11 m², you will also have plenty of shared living space available.

The room is nicely painted and has one wallpapered feature wall. There is enough space for a large bed and a good-sized wardrobe. Additional storage space is also available for things such as jackets, suitcases, boxes and other items you do not need on a daily basis.

The shared areas include a spacious living room, large open kitchen, bathroom, separate toilet and the terrace. As the apartment is new, everything has a modern and clean finish. The shared spaces are fully furnished.

The location is also very well connected. The metro is less than a 5-minute walk away, while both Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA station and the ArenA area are less than 10 minutes away on foot. This gives you quick connections to the rest of Amsterdam as well as destinations outside the city. Shops, restaurants, gyms and other amenities are all nearby.

Secure bicycle parking is available. Parking in the building's garage may also be available as an additional service and is not included in the rent.

You will be sharing the apartment with me. I work full-time as an engineer and am usually at work during the daytime on weekdays. I am also quite practical and handy, so I can take care of many of the small things that need fixing around the apartment.

What matters most to me is finding someone who is genuinely clean and tidy by nature. I am therefore looking for a housemate who is organised, independent and responsible, and who takes good care of both their own room and the shared spaces. I like a relaxed atmosphere at home, where we can have a chat, share a drink or do something together when it happens naturally, while still giving each other the freedom to have our own lives, routines and personal space.
