About the place

I'm renting out the sunny spare room in my apartment with its own private balcony. The total private space is compact (~7 m²) but well laid out with a single bed, desk, wardrobe/storage, and direct access to the balcony. Furniture in the room is brand new. 

You'll share the spacious living room, kitchen, bathroom and WC with me. The place is on a corner with lots of natural light, original stained-glass windows and wooden floors; a washer/dryer and dishwasher are included. The total apartment is 56 m².

The location is excellent: about a 2 minute walk from Bilderdijkstraat and Kinkerstraat tram stops and 5 minutes from Overtoom. UvA Roeterseiland is around 15–20 minutes by bike. There is a variety of grocery options nearby, and the daily market and De Hallen are a 5 minute walk away.

The space is generally calm and quiet, especially on weeknights. I'm looking for a person who enjoys an independent, relaxed household. This could be perfect for a graduate student, visiting researcher, or a professional looking for a gezellig home base in Amsterdam.

Duration: Ideally around 9–12 months. Longer may be possible if it's a good fit. Final contract details will be confirmed before signing.

Expected monthly housing cost: approximately €950 total, currently budgeted as €850 + €100 utilities
Utilities include gas, electricity, water and internet
Deposit: one month's basic rent under the final agreement
Furnished, including under-bed storage
Registration intended, subject to final contract/landlord confirmation
