my name is victory and I'm 27 years old I am an international student at Avans university of applied science I and my brother are looking for an apartment to rent as international students we know this is difficult. our budget for a 2 bedroom apartment is 1500€ paying the rent will not be an issue for us we would appreciate it if we are able to get one ASAP.

Hoi ik ben Maren, 21 jaar en ik studeer Industrieel product ontwerpen aan de HAN Arnhem. Ik woon op mezelf in Arnhem en kom oorspronkelijk uit Haarlem. Helaas wordt mijn huidige huis verkocht dus moet ik een nieuw plekje vinden. Ik woon nu in een huis met 3 vrouwelijke huisgenootjes maar ik dat is voor mij geen voorkeur! Ik ben een gezellig, sociaal en lief persoon en hou van zowel lekkere filmavondjes als uitgaan totdat de zon opkomt. Ik zit niet bij een studenten of studievereniging maar ik vind feestjes en afspreken met vrienden super leuk. Ik ben op zoek naar een gezellig huis waar ik mezelf af en toe kan terug trekken maar ook met iedereen lekker samen eten of andere activiteiten te doen. Het lijkt me leuk een keer kennis te maken!

Het afgelopen jaar heb ik in het buitenland gewerkt in hotel entertainment, nu ben ik weer een paar maanden terug en zoek opnieuw een kamer. Ik ben werkzaam als cursusleider bij Nutheorie, daarvoor moet ik doordeweeks vroeg op. Maar als ik thuis ben zoek ik graag de gezelligheid op, door gezamenlijk te eten, iets te kijken of gewoon over van alles te praten. Daarom zoek ik een rustig huis, met huisgenoten waar je wel iets mee kan doen! Ik hou alles netjes en zal doordeweeks dus vrij vaak weg zijn, dus ik zal ook niet voor overlast zorgen.

While I'm not immersed in my hobbies, you can usually find me studying in the library or enjoying some movies with friends. As a neat person I really enjoy living in a clean and organised space. As such, I am open to communication and compromise for maintaining such an environment. For example in my current accommodation I took the initiative and helped create a sense of community with my floor mates. My ideal living place is very flexible and I can either cook and party together or respect the peace and quiet of an individual while doing my own thing. I am Carmen, 29, originally from Austria and currently, I work as Marketing Manager at a Sales company in Houthaven (and loving it!) Initially, I moved here to study, but, eventually, I fell in love with the Netherlands and decided to stay 🤍 Where do I live now and why am I moving? Currently, I live in an apartment in Nieuw-West with one roommate, however, my rental contract was only one year, so now is the time for me to look for a new place I can call home. When am I moving? I am looking for a room from June onward but I am flexible and can also move in sooner! Am I tidy? I am Austrian, I think being organized and tidy is in our DNA 😄 But seriously, I think when sharing your living space it's important to clean up after yourself and just be considerate of one another (and have open communication!) Who else am I bringing? No one! It's just me and my 3 plants (but they are barely hanging on for dear life… so we'll see if they make it) BUT I am always buying fresh flowers (see picture as a reference 🌸) What do I do when I am not working? Generally, I am a quite quiet and relaxed person. Since my job is very demanding, I am usually tired when I get home. However, I am always up for a chat :) Weekends I either spend with friends at a nice brunch spot, go to a museum, the gym, or a nice walk, or just relax with a nice book. Am I a party girl? On a good day, I barely make it to 11.00 pm before I hit the bed 😴 but then again, if you wanna have a glass of wine in the kitchen and talk about life...say less 🍷 Some other things you should know? I don't have any pets, I don't smoke and I would like to rent a room for at least 1 year, but preferably longer if that's possible. I'm an American student in my final year of my bachelor in politics at the University College Utrecht and am currently looking for internships/jobs for the coming year before beginning a master's program! I have lived in Utrecht for 3 years already and therefore have my own life here but enjoy getting to know people I have lived with as well. Before living in Utrecht, I lived in Madagascar.
