W hen you are in a new country, you want to explore the best and nicest places. While there are some places you must have heard of, we want to inform you on the nicer, more unknown spots. Check out our list of hotspots of the Netherlands!

Walking or exercising on the beach is very popular, but also just strolling on the famous Scheveningen boulevard is a lot of fun. Just enjoy the nice beachy breeze, ice cream and churros.

Aside from the large and student city, the general province of Groningen has large farms and widespread pools where you can bike and walk. The Netherlands is a kingdom and along with that comes a rich history. A lot of the Dutch history of the royals can be traced back to the city of Delft. For example, the church where the Dutch royals are buried is there and the house where the founders of the kingdom lived can be seen as well.

Each spring, the most wonderful flower arrangements are displayed in a large field. It attract a lot of international tourism, but locals also love to take a peek.

8. A scenery like in Game of Thrones naarden

The city of Naarden is a very special one. Naarden is modelled and engineered to be a perfectly symmetrical pattern, which might remind some people of a scene from Game of Thrones. You can actually visit and tour the place, it is not far from Amsterdam.

9. Spot Bambi and her friends in the Veluwe veluwe

If you are looking to avoid the busy student life you have in the city, we advise you to take a short trip into the protected Dutch wilderness. And with wilderness we mean the lowlands, also known as the Veluwe. You will find wild animals, like deers, out in the open. You can bike around, swim in lakes, walk for miles and rent a house with some friends. The veluwe is stretched out over several provinces of the Netherlands and is similar to a protected park.

10. It still exist: a city with no cars giethoorn

The one place in Holland where cars are forbidden is Giethoorn. You can only enter the small village by foot, bike or boat. The place is wonderfully well taken care of and you can enjoy the place by taking a boat tour and having some typically Dutch food later on in one of the nice restaurants the town has.
