Hii! My name is Alba and I'm from Spain but fluent in both English and spanish. I'm 18 years old and will be finishing my first year of Biomedical Engineering at RUG in June. I have completed with success my previous education at the King’s College, the British School of Alicante. I have spent a year sharing a flat with no issues at all. I think I'm a very easy going person and, of course, I expect to and am willing to take responsibility for chores around the house like cleaning, cooking etc... I am excited to start my second year at university and hopefully make some new friends!

I am renting out some space from my apartment. Since I also will stay in the apartment I will be your host (not a student), and as we may spend some time in the same apartment it may be a good idea to share some info about myself. I am broadly interested. I consider myself a social person. I like to be in contact with other people from all kinds of origin and like to talk about all kinds of subjects. I am an alpha as well as a beta person, I am into technical stuff as well as into languages. I do a lot of fitness at home. I have done all kinds of interesting things mostly on the area of IT, but have stopped working on a fixed position for a while now. I am not the type working with a fixed agenda, I eat when I want, sleep when I want, go out where and when I want, but I am quite punctial with my appointments and rules. Also I keep all my business in good order. I am rather experienced with renting to expats, young foreigners and Dutch people, though not in the house where I live myself, so this is new to me, but I am open to new things.

Hey hey, leuk dat je dit leest! Ik ben Rick, 17 jaar (bijna 18, nog een kleine drie weken). Ik zit in nu Hilversum op school en ga over een maandje examen doen voor gymnasium. Ik woon in Soest, dit ligt tussen Hilversum en Amersfoort. Vanaf september wil ik graag rechten gaan studeren aan de Rug, en als master denk ik privaat- of strafrecht, maar dat duurt nog wel even. Ik wil denk ik bij een studentenvereniging geen idee welke, suggesties zijn zeker welkom. Ik speel waterpolo en doe aan fitness, ik houd van zwemmen, koken (mijn lasagne is grandioos, al zeg ik het zelf), reizen, sporten en uitgaan. In Groningen lijkt het mij leuk om deel te nemen aan waterpolo/rugby/roei -team, en ik blijf ook fitness doen. Ik werk nu als lifeguard bij bosbad Amersfoort en ik werk ook bij de karwei. Verder ben ik een rustige behulpzame jongen maar ik houd zeker wel van een feestje. Ik zoek een kamer in een gezellig huis, ik kan per direct al huren. Hey hey!  👋 Lovely meeting you here! I am Carmen and if you think I could be a good match as your new roommate, I would love to come by to have a look and chat with you :) But first things first, here's a little bit about myself 👇 Who am I and what do I do? I am Carmen, 29, originally from Austria and currently, I work as Marketing Manager at a Sales company in Houthaven (and loving it!) Initially, I moved here to study, but, eventually, I fell in love with the Netherlands and decided to stay 🤍 Where do I live now and why am I moving? Currently, I live in an apartment in Nieuw-West with one roommate, however, my rental contract was only one year, so now is the time for me to look for a new place I can call home. When am I moving? I am looking for a room from June onward but I am flexible and can also move in sooner! Am I tidy? I am Austrian, I think being organized and tidy is in our DNA 😄 But seriously, I think when sharing your living space it's important to clean up after yourself and just be considerate of one another (and have open communication!) Who else am I bringing? No one! It's just me and my 3 plants (but they are barely hanging on for dear life… so we'll see if they make it) BUT I am always buying fresh flowers (see picture as a reference 🌸) What do I do when I am not working? Generally, I am a quite quiet and relaxed person. Since my job is very demanding, I am usually tired when I get home. However, I am always up for a chat :) Weekends I either spend with friends at a nice brunch spot, go to a museum, the gym, or a nice walk, or just relax with a nice book. Am I a party girl? On a good day, I barely make it to 11.00 pm before I hit the bed 😴 but then again, if you wanna have a glass of wine in the kitchen and talk about life...say less 🍷 Some other things you should know? I don't have any pets, I don't smoke and I would like to rent a room for at least 1 year, but preferably longer if that's possible.
