I'm an American student in my final year of my bachelor in politics at the University College Utrecht and am currently looking for internships/jobs for the coming year before beginning a master's program! I have lived in Utrecht for 3 years already and therefore have my own life here but enjoy getting to know people I have lived with as well. Before living in Utrecht, I lived in Madagascar. I enjoy cooking, baking, watching silly series, drawing, thrifting and occasionally getting a chill drink with friends! I am not very much of a party person but really enjoy chats over dinner. Gezien de reistijd van 2 uur heen en 2 uur terug is, is reizen geen optie en daarom zoek ik een kamer. Ik ben sociaal, creatief en spontaan. Ik vind het heel leuk om op nieuwe avonturen te gaan en nieuwe mensen te ontmoeten. In mijn vrije tijd vind ik het leuk om kleding te maken, om te sporten en om gezellig te kletsen met vrienden. Ik sport in de sportschool en ik ben scheidsrechter voor de KNVB. Mijn passie is kleding maken met de naaimachine. Hey, my name is Kerrin, I´m 24 and a soon to be Master´s student from Germany looking for a place to live in Leiden or close by that ideally comes with nice people to live with and will hopefully feel like a home for the next few years. I´m currently finishing my Bachelor´s of molecular medicine in Tübingen, Germany, and will specialize in Biology and Science Communication in the future. Being interested in communication also means that I put great emphasis on a well-functioning communication in a shared flat and with people in general. It is very important to me that everyone´s needs can be talked about and are respected (including e.g. clean common spaces, quiet times, consideration of stressfull times, etc.). I´ve lived in two different shared flats and a student residence so far and loved the feeling of community and activities like cooking together, trips, or board game nights. I´m not much of a party person but will always be happy to join you for a cup of coffee or a walk on the beach. My friends describe me as empathetic, determined, well-organized, and funny and in my free time I like to be creative, spend time outside or cooking, meeting friends over a coffee, or learn a new language. Besides English and German, I´ve had fun learning Swedish and am currently getting into Spanish and Dutch. It would be great to have flatmates who could see themselves contributing to my Dutch too. Pearks of living with me would include that I can take very good care of your plants while you´re away and that I have lots of great recipes from my time working at the bakery of my favorite café.
