Hi! I am going to be moving to Leiden this summer to begin studying Molecular Biology at Leiden University’s MSc programme. I am excited to start this new adventure and hope to find a room that will allow for a smooth transition for this next chapter. I am a very considerate roommate who is clean, quiet and responsible. I love reading, music, outdoor activities and travel. I have rented several apartments in my time as a college student in the United States and then again while working post college. I am a born and raised New Yorker with dual US and German citizenship and this is my first time living abroad for an extended period of time. Hier heb ik nu naast mijn vrijwilligerswerk bij twee jeugdorganisaties een vaste baan gevonden bij Scouting BSO Vlaardingen en doe ik een BBL studie. Doordat mijn ouders nu beide ver weg zijn verhuisd en ik nu tijdelijk ergens woon is het belangrijk dat ik mijn eigen plekje zoek. Ik ben een nette huurder, sociaal ingesteld en over het algemeen gewoon gezellig. dus met huisgenoten samen wonen is voor mij geen probleem. Hey, I'm Jana, 20 years old, from Frankfurt Germany. I will start my international bachelor's degree in psychology in Leiden in September. So I'm looking for a room in Leiden/near Leiden from June/July/August on. About me: I graduated from high school last summer and decided to travel Europe. There I worked in different hostels and always shared a dorm with the other lovely volunteers. The 4 months have taught me a lot about being independent and tidying up my stuff and keeping things clean. But it helped me even more to learn to share a room with so many other people from other cultures and to live together and set boundaries as well as to accept those of others. Apart from traveling, I love going out with friends for a few drinks, dancing to house music and wine evenings on the balcony. On the other hand, I also love having really quiet evenings where we just sit together relax, chat, maybe cook and watch a movie. In my free time I go to the gym regularly. And just recently I've gotten to do yoga and Pilates a little more, which I also really enjoy. I am also a very creative person who likes to do crafts, paint or make pottery. And I also enjoy doing it with friends! About the room I would imagine a room around 15 m2 in size. But more important about the roomies. 1-3 roommates would be ideal - but I would have absolutely no problem with a larger number of roommates. Of course it would be great if the roommates were about the same age as me. Of course, I think it would be ideal if at some point as roommates you share hobbies and do things together((:
