I am a 28-year-old female working professional who has decided to quit my current job (At Kantar as Research Manager), move to the Netherlands in April on an Orientation Year visa and look for a new job to pursue a different path in my career and/or dreams. 🎊 A little about me: - Turned vegetarian last year, Completely fine hanging out with non-vegetarians 🥗 - Non-smoker, Quit smoking some time ago and never thought of going back (Check out EasyWay by Allan Carr) 🚭 - Completed Masters in Business Analytics from Warwick University, UK and worked in Market Research at Kantar for ~2 years [Hit me up if you have a job for me! 👩‍💻] - Really into personal development and looking forward to a healthy lifestyle (Not in the best shape of my life right now, it's a process 😬) - Currently listening to "Slo-Mo", "That's what I call Marketing" and "Expats in the Netherlands" podcasts. Ik ben op zoek naar een kamer of studio. Ik ga per september beginnen met studeren bij de UU. Ik ben Nederlands maar woon nu al een paar jaar in Zwitserland, dus zoek ik iets waar ik al wat eerder in kan. Ik hou van gezelligheid en dingen doen met anderen zoals een drankje of een spelletje maar ik vind het ook fijn om een plek te hebben waar ik tot rust kan komen. Ik hou van sporten en muziek luisteren en maak soms ook mijn eigen muziek. Ik hou ook erg van snowboarden en werk in de zomer als zeilinstructeur in Nederland.

I'm a prospective student planning to study mathematics at the University of Groningen starting in September 2024, having already received my acceptance letter. I have previously studied in England and completed my secondary education there. I am half Dutch and half English. My Dutch is currently not optimal; I am working on improving it during my gap year! I'm an active individual who attends church weekly and maintains a tidy lifestyle. My hobbies include swimming, baking and gaming. I do not smoke. I can move in immediately and can come in person for viewings.

I am Carmen, 29, originally from Austria and currently, I work as Marketing Manager at a Sales company in Houthaven (and loving it!) Initially, I moved here to study, but, eventually, I fell in love with the Netherlands and decided to stay 🤍 Where do I live now and why am I moving? Currently, I live in an apartment in Nieuw-West with one roommate, however, my rental contract was only one year, so now is the time for me to look for a new place I can call home. When am I moving? I am looking for a room from June onward but I am flexible and can also move in sooner! Am I tidy? I am Austrian, I think being organized and tidy is in our DNA 😄 But seriously, I think when sharing your living space it's important to clean up after yourself and just be considerate of one another (and have open communication!) Who else am I bringing? No one! It's just me and my 3 plants (but they are barely hanging on for dear life… so we'll see if they make it) BUT I am always buying fresh flowers (see picture as a reference 🌸) What do I do when I am not working? Generally, I am a quite quiet and relaxed person. Since my job is very demanding, I am usually tired when I get home. However, I am always up for a chat :) Weekends I either spend with friends at a nice brunch spot, go to a museum, the gym, or a nice walk, or just relax with a nice book. Am I a party girl? On a good day, I barely make it to 11.00 pm before I hit the bed 😴 but then again, if you wanna have a glass of wine in the kitchen and talk about life...say less 🍷 Some other things you should know? I don't have any pets, I don't smoke and I would like to rent a room for at least 1 year, but preferably longer if that's possible. I am renting out some space from my apartment. Since I also will stay in the apartment I will be your host (not a student), and as we may spend some time in the same apartment it may be a good idea to share some info about myself. I am broadly interested. I consider myself a social person. I like to be in contact with other people from all kinds of origin and like to talk about all kinds of subjects. I am an alpha as well as a beta person, I am into technical stuff as well as into languages. I do a lot of fitness at home. I have done all kinds of interesting things mostly on the area of IT, but have stopped working on a fixed position for a while now. I am not the type working with a fixed agenda, I eat when I want, sleep when I want, go out where and when I want, but I am quite punctial with my appointments and rules. Also I keep all my business in good order. I am rather experienced with renting to expats, young foreigners and Dutch people, though not in the house where I live myself, so this is new to me, but I am open to new things.

Hi, my name is Panna and I will start my masters in Sustainable energy technology at TU/e this september . I was born and raised in Budapest, and like my home city, I have various interests, hobbies and talents. My main side hustle is playing bass buitar in a rock band (but I don’t have a big amplifier so no worries), we even had a few concerts (even thought only our friends came to see us). Big fan of F1, I was even in a Formula student team at home when I was a mechanical engineer student. Even though I am not a big drinker, still like to have fun and socialize in the evenings. Ik houd van sporten zoals hockey, surfen en skiën en heb skiles gegeven in Oostenrijk en daar met andere skileraren in een gedeeld huis gewoond. Heyyy, my name is Marie, 20 years old and I am coming from Tübingen (Germany). I will start my first year at the UVA (Media and Culture) in September. So I will live in Amsterdam for at least three years. I am really communicative, but also can respect when people need their space, therefore I would love to live in a shared apartment. A little about me: I love spending time with my friends and family. I like to go out or stay in -> both have their positives sides and I enjoy both. For sporty activities I’d like to go swimming and just started jogging (but I don’t know if I like it yet) I am very responsible, friendly, open minded, clean, outgoing, positive and reliable. Also I can be very clumsy haha so living with me never gets boring (in a funny way) 😇. I grew up with animals, so I have no problems living with an animal.
