WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR I am looking for a room to rent a room from the beginning of the academic year (around late August/start September. I am flexible with dates) until the end of the academic year (late June/early July). ABOUT ME:)) I am a product of the self-proclaimed vegetarian cool kids of Copenhagen. I love talking about movies and books. I am very interested in politics, hence why I wanted to move abroad to be able to study in Den Haag. I am a dedicated student, and I intend to take my studies very seriously. I am tidy and enjoy cooking yummy meals. I have a sneaky little plan to start making my own hummus when I move to the Netherlands. In my free time, I like to do yoga and go to gigs. I like staying active by running and hiking. I would say that I am quite easy going and flexible, and I enjoy living with other people. While I am in the Netherlands, I plan on learning to at least understand, but hopefully also speak Dutch. I think, that now that I plan on being in the Netherlands for three years, it would be amazing to be able to properly immerse myself in the country. I graduated high school in the summer of 2022, and I have been travelling since. I spent one year backpacking through the Balkans, Caucasus, Nepal, India, South East Asia, Taiwan and Hong Kong. After that I was so tired, but not ready to go back to Europe, so I spent 6 months living and working in Melbourne, Australia with my sibling. I worked as a waiter and a bartender. While living in Melbourne I lived in a couple different rental houses. I loved living with my room mates and sharing our everyday. I am quite tidy and outgoing, so I enjoy living in a shared space. While in Australia, I have also worked on constructing a building exclusively out of natural materials on an old-school hippie retreat, taken care of 73 unruly huskies on an isolated mountain farm and worked at a hostel in the red-earth centre of Australia. FINANCIALS I get a monthly student support from the Danish government of about €850 that will cover my rent. I intend to work on the side while studying. In mijn vrije tijd breng ik graag tijd door met vrienden of lees ik een goed boek thuis. Ik rook niet en zorg altijd dat de huur op tijd wordt betaald. Als huurder vind ik het belangrijk om een opgeruimd en net huis te hebben en ik ben dan ook altijd bereid om hieraan bij te dragen. Hier heb ik nu naast mijn vrijwilligerswerk bij twee jeugdorganisaties een vaste baan gevonden bij Scouting BSO Vlaardingen en doe ik een BBL studie. Doordat mijn ouders nu beide ver weg zijn verhuisd en ik nu tijdelijk ergens woon is het belangrijk dat ik mijn eigen plekje zoek. Ik ben een nette huurder, sociaal ingesteld en over het algemeen gewoon gezellig. dus met huisgenoten samen wonen is voor mij geen probleem.
