Hi, this is HsinYi Wu from Taiwan, a lovely small island country. I am 27 years old, majoring in Ethnic Relations and Culture A double degree in the Undergraduate Program of Indigenous Social Work. None of them became my career so far, in 2019 I was an exchange student in the Czech Republic. I feel like still have a lot yet to experience in Europe. Postpone by the pandemic, I applied Working Holiday Visa (WHA visa) to Ireland with my friend. It is a one-year visa with a work permit, for people who want to experience the country more could have some income to support it. We arrived in Dublin In 2022 May and had an amazing year there. Besides our job, we managed to explore and travel as much as we could. I was working as a barista and met a lot of good colleagues and friends. I apply a WHA visa for the Netherlands straight away after I left Dublin. During the year I've learned a lot. So l decided to do it again on my own not only to step outside my comfort zone to know more about myself but also to have the opportunity to know more about this country. Currently arrived in Den Haag a few days ago. Looking for a room to rent and looking forward to starting up life in the Netherlands.

Recently I've got an internship offer at Arnhem for which I need to stay for a duration of 3 months. I can mix with people and would love to travel few places around Arnhem as I couldn't do the same during my busy first year at Enschede. And, I'm a veggie, non-smoker, and don't have any pet with me but I don't have any problem to share room with people who smoke or have a pet (I'm quite adaptive).

Hoi ik ben Veronique, ik ga aankomend jaar psychologie studeren in Nijmegen! Vrienden zijn voor mij heel belangrijk, daarom ga ik vaak in het weekend iets met hun doen. Het maakt niet uit of dit nou lekker eten is, op stap gaan of gewoon gezellig bijpraten. In het weekend ben ik ook vaak bij de carnavalsvereniging waar we naar ballen en feesten gaan. Ik kom dan ook uit het mooie Brabant. Verder werk ik bij de McDonald’s als manager. Ik sport 3 dagen in de week, waarbij ik op hockey en voetbal zit. Zoals je misschien leest ben ik een best actief persoon, maar ik vind het ook heerlijk om een avondje op de bank te zitten en films te kijken of lekker iets te bakken.

This is my first time living abroad but Utrecht could not be more welcoming and charming as a city. What is more, I work in a grocery delivery company here in Utrecht called Picnic. More about me. The place is dirty, old, and poorly managed. That is why I would love to move out to a more looked after place, it would greatly affect my mental health.
