I'm looking for housing starting June or July 2024 so that I can secure a place for when I begin my Master's degree. I'm originally from Latvia, but grew up in Ireland, and can easily say I get on well with people from all backgrounds and walks of life :) I consider myself a very responsible, clean, and organised (and quiet!) individual, and do not mind sharing facilities at all (since I have only ever lived in shared accomodation here in Groningen). My preference is housing somewhat closeby to Zernike and the city centre, and ideally with a maximum price of 500 to 600 euro per month.

I am Carmen, 29, originally from Austria and currently, I work as Marketing Manager at a Sales company in Houthaven (and loving it!) Initially, I moved here to study, but, eventually, I fell in love with the Netherlands and decided to stay 🤍 Where do I live now and why am I moving? Currently, I live in an apartment in Nieuw-West with one roommate, however, my rental contract was only one year, so now is the time for me to look for a new place I can call home. When am I moving? I am looking for a room from June onward but I am flexible and can also move in sooner! Am I tidy? I am Austrian, I think being organized and tidy is in our DNA 😄 But seriously, I think when sharing your living space it's important to clean up after yourself and just be considerate of one another (and have open communication!) Who else am I bringing? No one! It's just me and my 3 plants (but they are barely hanging on for dear life… so we'll see if they make it) BUT I am always buying fresh flowers (see picture as a reference 🌸) What do I do when I am not working? Generally, I am a quite quiet and relaxed person. Since my job is very demanding, I am usually tired when I get home. However, I am always up for a chat :) Weekends I either spend with friends at a nice brunch spot, go to a museum, the gym, or a nice walk, or just relax with a nice book. Am I a party girl? On a good day, I barely make it to 11.00 pm before I hit the bed 😴 but then again, if you wanna have a glass of wine in the kitchen and talk about life...say less 🍷 Some other things you should know? I don't have any pets, I don't smoke and I would like to rent a room for at least 1 year, but preferably longer if that's possible. I'm an Italian student, and I'm looking for a place in Delft, where I'll begin my studies in September 2024, at TU Delft.

I will be moving to Groningen to study Human Geography and Planning (starting 1.9.2024). Currently I live in Hannover, Germany and work as a software developer in a small company. I would like to live in a shared flat to get to know the culture and of course the language. It would be great if the flat was within biking distance from the university, but more importantly it should have a good atmosphere and nice flatmates.
