Today, I'm here to find a home that can be my sanctuary during this exciting study journey. Hoi ik ben Veronique, ik ga aankomend jaar psychologie studeren in Nijmegen! Vrienden zijn voor mij heel belangrijk, daarom ga ik vaak in het weekend iets met hun doen. Het maakt niet uit of dit nou lekker eten is, op stap gaan of gewoon gezellig bijpraten. In het weekend ben ik ook vaak bij de carnavalsvereniging waar we naar ballen en feesten gaan. Ik kom dan ook uit het mooie Brabant. Verder werk ik bij de McDonald’s als manager. Ik sport 3 dagen in de week, waarbij ik op hockey en voetbal zit. Zoals je misschien leest ben ik een best actief persoon, maar ik vind het ook heerlijk om een avondje op de bank te zitten en films te kijken of lekker iets te bakken.

Hallo! I'm a French final-year engineering student in computer science (similar to a master's degree). I'm doing my end-of-studies internship here in Amsterdam. I'll be here until late September. :)

I will be moving to Groningen to study Human Geography and Planning (starting 1.9.2024). Currently I live in Hannover, Germany and work as a software developer in a small company. I would like to live in a shared flat to get to know the culture and of course the language. It would be great if the flat was within biking distance from the university, but more importantly it should have a good atmosphere and nice flatmates. I have been living in shared flats for the last 8 years, so let's say I have some experience in living with people.

Omdat mijn ouders naar het buitenland gaan verhuizen zoek ik een kamer in of rond om Utrecht. Amersfoort, Hilversum, Den Bosch of alles andere wat maximaal een uurtje met de trein van Utrecht vandaan is. Ik hou van kletsen, borrelen, bankhangen en koken (maar vooral van het eten na het koken). Mijn budget is maximaal 600,- inclusief g/w/l. Mijn ouders overnemen de huurkosten dus jullie hoeven nooit bang te zijn dat ik mijn huur niet betaal!

Hi! I'm Yaren, I moved to the Netherlands last year and have been working at the MPI for almost a year now, so I think it is safe to say that I have grown accustomed to the culture and the way of living here. I consider myself to be a clean, social and warm person (amidst all the rain!) :) I am a vegetarian who loves to cook (I make really mean dumplings!), bake and sing and a typical week for me is mostly working/studying but I also like going out for long walks and grabbing a couple drinks with friends. Even though I like going to parties every once in a while, I wouldn't say I'm a big party person.
